This week, the West Allis-West Milwaukee community gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the future Activity & Fitness Center. This center, located at 1300 S. 109th Street in West Allis, Wis., is Phase II of GROTH Design Group’s work with the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District, Recreation and Community Services Department. Completion is expected by the end of 2025.
Check out the below animated fly-through of the center, and sneak peek of all that is to be offered through this great new space for the community – including the addition of a large fitness center space, renovation of the reception area to enhance the main entrance, and locker room renovations for designated wet and dry changing rooms.
The celebration doubled as a Phase I ribbon cutting on the center. Phase I of the project included demolition of the district’s Lane Intermediate School building, and renovation of the remaining building portion to include new finishes, renovated multi-purpose rooms, and a boardroom suite.
Future phases plan to include a warm water pool to further enhance the Activity & Fitness Center and serve the needs of the West Allis-West Milwaukee community.
