From July 21 – 27, 2019, our Paul Barribeau joins the Grunewald Guild faculty to lead a week-long class on sacred space. The class will explore how spaces are created such that they can be encountered as sacred, whether these places are interior or exterior, natural or human-created, historic or contemporary, formal or informal, communal or personal, architectural or environmental. The goal is to foster an understanding of how architecture, the arts, and natural or human-created environments encourage both spirituality and inspiration and how they facilitate communal worship and personal devotion.
The Grunewald Guild, located near Leavenworth, Washington, in the Cascade Mountains, is a retreat center that focuses on Spirituality and the Arts. The Guild offers week-long learning opportunities throughout the summer months. Click for more information.
