Charrettes for a Cause
Charrettes for a Cause started with the notion of wanting to further utilize the talent of our GDG staff to help advance non-profit organizations that share in our commitment of giving back.
What is a charrette?
A charrette is a process designed to stimulate ideas and involve all stakeholders in order to collaborate on a vision and map design solutions to current challenges. A charrette is intended to open lines of communication between all parties involved, allowing individuals to take part in writing a new formulated plan that will serve as the foundational plan moving forward. The charrette process clearly define needs and wants and is used as a consensus building tool to ensure a well-crafted design that provides solutions for well prioritized needs.
WHAT IS CHARRETTES FOR A CAUSE?
Charrettes for a Cause is an effort to help non-profit organizations that are in need of architectural services to better serve those in need. GROTH Design Group has launched this initiative to donate hours of architectural services to non-profit organizations within our communities.
Building vital communities involves individuals collectively coming together for the common good. We believe, as architects, we have a social responsibility to enhance our communities far beyond just bricks and mortar.
Architecture plays a major role in creating healthy, thriving individuals and communities by providing spaces that organically connect and engage people.
