Trinity Lutheran Church, School and Childcare engaged GROTH Design Group to create a master plan on their existing site to unite their ministries and provide for expansion needs for childcare, education and athletics. GDG worked with the team to develop space needs, create conceptual options and provide a solution to serve their long-term ministry goals.
Programming needs addressed included providing space for two classrooms per grade, state licensable childcare facilities, increased flexibility throughout for all ministries, united office spaces, new two-station gym with lobby, locker room and storage space, additional storage, welcoming entry/lobby area for fellowship/first impression space, space to facilitate special needs education and ministry and evaluation of property circulation and parking lots to facilitate better drop-off/pick-up and improve site traffic experience.
The master plan provided a prioritized and phased approach for the existing campus to improve ministries and accommodate additional programming.
The plan was utilized to create a conceptual budget for the phases established and build support within the community for project funding. The design provides a new face for Trinity Lutheran and unites their ministries. It provides better connection between church, school and childcare, while also providing enhanced security. The design preserves existing construction and creates an interior courtyard for additional secure play area and outdoor meeting areas.
The desire to improve the quality of its educational facilities prompted the St. Francis of Assisi Parish to combine its 3 schools into a new 21st century facility.
The new high school is the visual center of the campus and incorporates a palette of materials and forms unifying the variety of current building styles while also conforming to strict design regulations.
GROTH Design Group has worked on numerous projects under the Casa brand, including multiple daycare locations in both Wisconsin and Minnesota.
