This complete renovation turned a former parking garage into a gateway to the transforming 5th Street streetscape and corridor in Milwaukee’s Walker’s Point neighborhood.
The building pulls people in from the street and lets its patrons filter out onto the sidewalks and street patios, attracting new life to the neighborhood.
The project includes a new entry, exterior openings, exterior signage, brewing facility and storage, offices and a conference room on a new mezzanine level and restrooms. Other support spaces were created such as coolers and cold storage. The public tasting room space includes a bar, stage, seating areas and restrooms.
Throughout the renovation process, there was a strategy in place to engage street and local community.
